Based in the coastal town of Lytham St Annes, I am a watercolour artist and a proud member of the Lytham St. Annes Art Society.
My journey with painting began upon retirement, opening up a whole new chapter where I have found incredible peace, purpose, and creative fulfillment. Working with watercolours allows me to capture the atmospheric beauty, shifting light, and unique textures of the landscapes around me.
My portfolio spans both traditional scenes and contemporary, semi-abstract expressions—such as the atmospheric shoreline study featured here, where muted hues and fluid textures evoke the quiet stillness of the coast. Whether rendering a detailed classic view or exploring more impressionistic, vertical forms, my goal is to evoke the calm feeling that draws me to the easel every day.
